Chaine Des Rotisseurs Nobu Dinner

The Chaine Des Rotisseurs  kicked off their culinary year with a dinner on the 28th February at Nobu Restaurant, One & Only Hotel.

About Nobu:

No stranger to international culinary influences, Nobu gives classical Japanese cuisine a contemporary twist with a Peruvian influence. Diners can indulge in fresh South African seafood and indigenous spices in mesmerising dishes such as Sake Roast Whitefish with Jalapeno or the Chocolate Bento Box; a dark chocolate fondant with green tea ice cream and a sesame seed tuile. A sweeping fan-like staircase leads to the 104 seat dining area and sushi counter, which is framed by a textured, translucent origami light that glides along the ceiling. The upper-level Nobu Lounge features a selection of Sakes including Japanese beer and Shochu based cocktails.

O N E I R I C; pronounced “Oh! – ne – rik” borrowed from Greek terminology and roughly translated as ‘dream’ is exactly that – a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the cool-climate Elgin Valley.

Oneiric Sauvignon Blanc 2013:
An elegant, fragrant nose, with concentrated acidity, intensity and freshness. These wines have been aged in bottle for 3 years and the result is an elegantly soft and surprisingly fruit-driven wine. Lovely fresh cut grass backed by white peach, jasmine, litchi and a hint of fresh lime. A well balanced wine with great mouthfeel (reminiscent of mango sorbet) and a long and seamless finish
Oneiric Shiraz 2011:
A lighter Shiraz with beautifully layered red berries, cassis fruit and white pepper. A wine for any occasion.

Welcome Drink:

Guava or Grapefruit Martini
